There is only one NHL game tonight despite NBA being off. Would we want a touch more action? Perhaps, but this makes it all the easier to identify the clearest spot worth targeting.
DraftKings was nice enough to offer us a 50% SGP boost tonight, so we go there for this fun combo.
By all means, play this safer by just loading up each to record a point, but what is Friday for if not a bit of fun?
I've been digging into power-play numbers more and more of late, and the reads have been paying off. If you're interested in exploring my full breakdown, you can find that right here:
NHL Power Play Report: 2/16
— GriffyBets (@griffybets) February 16, 2024
Yesterday's power play report would have to once again be deemed a success. Both PP shooters we identified in Mika Zibanejad and Tage Thompson covered their plus-money SOG props thanks in large part to the power play chances they got. Tampa did… pic.twitter.com/1X7e4OCewT
I'll recap here. Arizona is handing out 4.3 power-play chances per game the last 30 days, the most in the NHL. That aligns nicely with Carolina's fifth-strongest power play rate over the past month, suggesting that should they see their chances, they are very likely to capitalize.
I'll take a chance on them doing just that by loading up two of their steadiest power play producers to get involved in the fun, ideally on the same PP goal.
Seth Jarvis has three power-play points in his last seven games, while Brent Burns has three PPP in his last five. They both notched a PPP when they last saw Arizona, so here's to them chipping in again at one hell of a price.
Thanks to the DK boost, we're able to get this at over a 10-1 payout. Let's cash it, shall we?
