Viral video of Raiders rookie Jackson Powers-Johnson at minicamp is everything fans wanted and more
Kirby Lee-USA TODAY Sports

The Las Vegas Raiders are trying to return to their old ways—the ones everyone in the league feared. They used to be dominant defensively and just more tough than the team they were playing. The Raider way was mean, gritty, and grimy.

Every player they drafted fits that culture, just like the Maxx Crosby and Davante Adams of the world. The one who fits that culture the most has to be offensive guard Jackson Powers-Johnson. He is as gritty as it gets, and what he did on Friday proves that.

During the first practice of the year for rookies, known as the rookie minicamp, Powers-Johnson was captured in a clip dominating a drill. This impressive display of his skills has since gone viral, sparking excitement among fans and pundits alike.

"I love physicality, I love violence," Jackson Powers-Johnson said on Friday. "I think that's how the sport should be played. And putting on just the helmet and getting going, I mean it's exciting. We don't have the full pads on yet, but I'm excited for that. It's been fun getting to hit a little bit, even if it's a bag. I'm sorry to that trainer too; I'll take him out to dinner."

JPJ really threw the trainer into the air, and he went flying. Luckily, the Raiders have a great training staff, and the guy was able to stay on his feet. In all seriousness. JPJ is exactly what the fan base craves in a player. They want a guy like Maxx Crosby but on the offensive line.

This video further proves that he is on his way to becoming a player who just wants it all.
