Zac Gallen is officially heading to his first All-Star game next month. He will join Corbin Carroll in Seattle to represent the Diamondbacks on the National League team.
It’s official:
Zac Gallen, Spencer Strider, Bryce Elder, Justin Steele, Mitch Keller, and Josiah Gray have all earned their first ASG appearance.

And this is no surprise.
Through the first half of the season, Zac Gallen is tied for first in the National League with 10 wins.
Along with those 10 wins, Gallen has posted a 3.02 ERA, is on pace for over 200 strikeouts, and is currently second in the CY Young odds.
In the midst of the announcement, Gallen is on the mound against the Angels, attempting to lead his team to a sweep. Through the first five innings, Gallen had already struck out 10 batters.
Stay tuned for further updates, as the Diamondbacks’ ace is likely not the only other player to head to Seattle in a few weeks.
