MLB HR props for Friday 9/8: Don't sell Jose Altuve short

Unfortunately, we were unable to cash a home run prop on Thursday for the first time this week. We've still got a ton of cash in the account thanks to a hot two-week stretch, so let's tack on some more with my three favorite HR props for Friday's MLB slate.

Jose Altuve (+500 DraftKings)

This price doesn't make much sense to me. Jose Altuve has been on a power-hitting tear with five home runs and a 1.481 OPS in his last 20 at-bats, and he's staring down a friendly matchup against San Diego Padres starter Blake Snell. In 21 career ABs against Snell, Altuve is batting .381 with four homers and a 1.000 slugging percentage. I'll gladly take the juicy +500 here.

Bryce Harper (+370 DK)

Friday's matchup between the Philadelphia Phillies and the Miami Marlins could be a gold mine for home run props. The friendly weather and strong winds blowing out to left field are creating a projected 35 percent boost to home runs (Ballpark Pal) at Citizens Bank Park, which is the highest boost of the slate. Let's roll with Bryce Harper, who's cooled off since his scorching-hot August but still shouldn't be priced this high on a home run-friendly day.

Bryson Stott (+900 FanDuel)

Since Citizens Bank Park could turn into a home run derby Friday night, we might as well double up with a monster price. Bryson Stott is a capable power hitter who's hit 11 of his 14 dingers this season off right-handed pitching. Miami Marlins righty gave up three home runs Eury Perez surrendered three homers in his last time out, so I like the idea of riding the Phillie with the longest home run odds on the board.
